What To Bring

What to Bring

Required for All Clients Boarding, Grooming, Training and Daycare
If you arrive without the required vaccinations, we will not admit your pet. See below for a complete list.

Vaccinations

When you bring your pet to us for the first time, please take in to consideration that we require vaccination records before admitting your pet.

Diamond in the Ruff requires proof of up to date vaccination for each pet at or before the time of arrival. Please be sure to bring us signed veterinary documents.

Your pet must have the following vaccinations:

  • Distemper
  • Hepatitis/Adenovirus
  • Parainfluenza
  • Parvovirus
  • Rabies
  • Bordetella

All of these are non-negotiable unless we are provided with a veterinary note as to why they will not vaccinate your dog against one or more of those listed and their assessment of the dog’s overall health.

Make sure that regular booster vaccines are given 3-5 days prior to the boarding date needed. If it is the first time your dog is receiving a specific vaccine, we suggest a 7 day time period between receiving the vaccine and the boarding date.

What should I bring for Boarding?

  • Enough food for the length of their stay
  • Vaccination records if they weren’t sent ahead of time.
  • A special toy or bone from home (we do not accept rawhide)
  • A cozy blanket, mat or towel
  • Any special treats

What NOT to bring?

  • Bedding with stuffing
  • Comforters
  • Pillows
  • Dog dishes/bowls

What should I bring for Daycare?

  • Each dog should have a collar, and be on a leash.
  • Some dogs need winter jackets and sweaters

What NOT to bring to Daycare?

  • No bowls or blankets
  • Unless your dog is a small puppy or has a medical condition that requires food and meds through the day we recommend you alter your dogs feeding schedule to after and before coming to daycare and not during.  It is best that our pets are settled and calm when feeding them.  Feeding during our daycare day might result eating too fast and cause stomach issues.
